Tel Aviv is known as the vegan capital of the world - and it's true! You won't be able to find this many vegan restaurants or places with vegan options in any other city. We've been to Tel Aviv a couple of times now - for example for our photoshoot at Freedom Farm Sanctuary for our nuuwaï x Style with a Smile collection - so we've had a lot of time to try a lot of restaurants and have collected the best ones here for you! Beteavon!
416
Where? HaArba'a St 16, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
What? All kinds of vegan "meats"! This is definitely a must, when visiting Tel Aviv. 416 has a wide menu including schnitzel, BBQ-skewers, vegan calamari and so much more. They also offer cocktails for long nights out and quickly became our favorite place to eat at.
Anastasia
Where? Frishman St 54, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
What? Anastasia was voted one of the best vegan restaurants in Tel Aviv and offers a variety of dishes like shakshuka or a vegan cheese platter. It's not only a restaurant/café, but also has a small shop where you can buy vegan foods you won't find easily in Israel (like Vego Chocolate - another big recommendation form us).
The Bakery (Ha'Mafia)
Where? 75 Allenby St, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
What? The name is pretty self-explanatory - it's a bakery. But all vegan options are labeled here and their baked goods are just to die for! We love their rugelach, challah and all of the different kinds of sufganiyot you can see on the photo above (which are sadly only available for Hanukkah).
The Green Cat
Where? Levontin St 7, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
What? Build your own vegan pizza. Green Cat is open from 6pm and it's perfect for a quick dinner. We love their vegan, homemade cheese-alternative. Their pizza is huge (see photo above) so we definitely recommend sharing it with someone if you're not super hungry.
The Green Roll
Where? Montefiore St 30, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
What? A 100% vegan sushi place - a must for every vegan that loves sushi. You will find much more than your usual avocado maki here.
Hummus Abu Hassan
Where? Shivtai Israel St., 14, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
What? THE best hummus in Tel Aviv or probably Israel. If you love hummus as much as we do this one is definitely a must. Our favorite is the masabacha and some of their lemonade, which is great for hot days.
Malek Sweets
Where? Rehov Yehuda Hayamit 36, Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel
What? If you're going to Abu Hassan this place is close and great for dessert! It's not fully vegan, but has vegan versions of baklava or knafeh. We nearly died of a sugar shock, but it was definitely worth it to try as much as we could.
